FSAC and NFDA to Host 2022 Professional Women’s Conference in Toronto, Canada

September 14, 2022

For Immediate Release: September 14, 2022

Brookfield, Wis. – The Funeral Service Association of Canada (FSAC), in partnership with the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), will host the third Professional Women’s Conference – Canada. Known as the profession’s leading gathering for women in funeral service, the event in Canada will take place November 4-6 at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This event promises to be a weekend of luxury and a time to connect with peers in the funeral service profession and build meaningful connections.

Attendees can kick off their Professional Women’s Conference experience by participating in the optional NFDA Arranger Training program on November 4. Led by NFDA Training and Development Manager Melissa Loose, attendees will learn how to make the most of arrangement conferences through a creative, five-step process you will only discover during the NFDA Arranger Training workshop. This training program requires a separate registration, which is discounted by $125 CAD when bundled with a full conference registration.

The conference officially begins the evening of Friday, November 4 with a complimentary Welcome Reception to help conference attendees get to know one another in anticipation of the forthcoming day-and-a-half of learning.

Attendees can expect engaging conference sessions led by experts covering a wide range of topics:

  • Reconnection: Building a Foundation of Authentic Relationships presented by Dr. Jody Carrington, a renowned psychologist
  • Children and Grief presented by Annette March-Grier, a leader in grief education and support
  • The Art and Beauty of Postmortem Beautification presented by Monica Torres, owner of NXT Generation Mortuary Support
  • Movement & Posture; The Path to Equity, Inclusion, and Action presented by Dianne Bondy, social justice activist and author
  • Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) and Reflections for Funeral Professionals presented by Tekla Hendrickson and Mona Kornberg, Executive Director and Project Manager of MAiDHouse
  • And more.

Attendees won’t want to miss a fantastic social event being planning for the evening of Saturday, November 5.
