Homesteaders Holds Recognition Ceremony; Releases Seventh Edition of “Preneed Motivators”; Names SVP of Finance and Accounting

March 07, 2024

Homesteaders Life Company recently held its sales recognition ceremony in Las Vegas. The annual event – an almost 30-year-old tradition – celebrates the exceptional service of its team of account executives. Senior account executive Paul Reukauf (East Region) was named Account Executive of the Year. The award recognizes the account executive who best exhibits the qualities required to provide superior support to funeral home customers. Reukauf also received the Territory Development and Sales Achievement awards and was named East Region Account Executive of the Year.

Other account executives and regional directors honored:

• Angela Clough: Rising Star Award

• Brandon Full: Marketing Partner Engagement and Sales Achievement awards

• David Rafdal: Positive Attitude Award

• Doug Farrell: Sales Achievement Award

• Eolo Nizzi: Territory Development Award and West Region Account Executive of the Year

• Jake Sale: Territory Development and Sales Achievement awards; Central Region Account Executive of the Year

• Jessica Schulz: PartnerPoints Service and Territory Management awards

• Jill Lambert: Highest Annual Volume Award

• Liz Carter: Sales Achievement Award

• Nicole Nuzum: Marketing Partner Engagement and Sales Achievement awards

• Renae Shay: Territory Development and Sales Achievement awards; Home Office Account Executive of the Year

• Ron Amato: Sales Achievement Award

• Steve Brodie: Commitment Award

• East Region: Region of the Year.

In other news, Homesteaders has released the seventh edition of “Preneed Motivators,” which provides information about the demographics, behavior and experiences of people who arrange and fund advance funeral plans. In addition to providing results from a biennial survey of policy owners who prearranged and funded funerals with Homesteaders, this edition includes meaningful insights and additional resources on how to act on the data in order to help funeral professionals strengthen how they market to, and communicate with, preneed and at-need families. “Preneed Motivators” is available as a free download at homesteaderslife.com.

Lastly, Steve Pick, Homesteaders executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, announced the appointment of Ryan Goins as senior vice president of finance and accounting. “We’re excited to have Ryan join our team,” said Pick. “He brings an impressive background of progressive financial leadership within the life insurance sector, positioning him to help drive Homesteaders’ continued growth and the successful execution of our strategy.” Goins will play a crucial role in helping shape Homesteaders’ financial direction and overall strategic vision, ensuring the financial well-being of the organization.

Goins has nearly 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and capital management, with two decades spent in the insurance industry. He is a certified public accountant (inactive), a LOMA Financial Services Institute fellow and holds a finance degree from Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business.

“I’m excited to utilize my background to enhance the finance functionality at Homesteaders and contribute to executing the strategic vision of the company,” said Goins. “I was drawn to Homesteaders’ strong management team and the strategic steps they have taken to position the company for success and strength in the future.” homesteaderslife.com
