On October 10-13, Selected Independent Funeral Homes will hold its 105th Annual Meeting at J.W. Marriott Chicago, during which SIFH will induct its newest board representatives and officers, as well as recognize the contributions of those leaving the board.

The event will feature a keynote speech by Andrew Tarvin titled “Leading on Your Feet,” which will explore the skills necessary to unlock the talent of those around you; and a presentation by Star Bobatoon titled “On Track and Out of Court: Understanding HR and the Law.”

Additional highlights include up to 9.5 hours of continuing education credits, acknowledgment of SIFH-member anniversaries and recognition of the association’s Trust Ambassador of the Year awards. Selected Educational Trust recently reported that this year’s recipients will be:

• Ambassador of the Year/Funeral Service Professional: James H. Busch, owner and president, Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, Cleveland, Ohio

• Ambassador of the Year/Industry Partner Leader: Dean Lambert, executive director, Life Insurers Council, Windsor, Connecticut.
