About Christian:  Christian Schauf leads a life of adventure. Since spending his childhood on a large working farm in Wisconsin, Schauf has traveled the world with his band, recorded music with Prince, SCUBA dived with Richard Branson, conquered Ironman competitions, hunted the most remote and unforgiving backcountry of the Yukon, climbed many of the world’s tallest mountains, was awarded the Armed Forces Entertainer of the Year by the Pentagon (following more than 40 trips to entertain troops at some of the most dangerous bases in Iraq), and has founded a series of successful companies. Needless to say, Schauf has racked up more once-in-a-lifetime adventures than most.

The culmination of these extraordinary life experiences has taught Schauf the importance of being prepared. Following a harrowing night in a chaotic winter storm, he realized the need for products that offer preparedness and peace of mind not only in harsh conditions, but for everyday emergencies of all kinds.

Inspired to encourage people to be confidently prepared for any adventure, Schauf founded Uncharted Supply Co. The manufacturer of high-quality survival systems and products develops gear for unexpected emergencies as well as devastating natural disasters, like earthquakes, floods, blizzards and power outages. The SEVENTY2TM Survival System was the first product in the Uncharted arsenal and has become a staple for adventurers everywhere. This 72-hour survival kit was designed to be used in the event of a dangerous situation---since 95 percent of all survival situations are resolved within 72 hours.

Today, Schauf serves as founder and CEO of Uncharted Supply Co. in addition to serving on the board of The Sanneh Foundation, The Utah Avalanche Center and EcoDefense Group. He is also a brand ambassador for Christensen Arms, AKU Boots, Lululemon, The Normal brand and has supported outdoor brands Huckberry, Garmin, SITKA and 1st Phorm in the past. He is a regular contributor for Field Ethos and Hook & Barrel. He wears many hats within Uncharted Supply Co. while continuously developing effective prepared solutions from survival kits to portable battery chargers and more. Ultimately, Schauf strives to build a brand that makes a meaningful difference in the safety of people’s lives while encouraging everyone to explore their own adventure confidently.
