Campaign Statement

Since being elected as your At-Large Representative in 2019, I have had the pleasure of working with and meeting many great people within our profession. While being open-minded to others’ ideas and beliefs, I have been able to create my own opinions as to what will contribute to the success of NFDA.

Since my appointment to the Budget and Audit Task Forces, not to mention being elected as Treasurer, I have been able to increase my understanding of what is involved in the day-to-day operation of our organization. I feel that the Treasurer position has been an invaluable opportunity for me to fully comprehend how our great association works.

As a member and current Chairperson of the NFDA House Operations Committee, I have been able to ensure communication with the CEO while conducting periodic evaluations to guarantee success and ensure the well-being of our headquarters in Brookfield, WI.

As a part of the NFDA Spokesperson team for the last 5 years, I have been fortunate enough to be a trusted voice and resource on a national level. This has reinforced my philosophy that what works in a particular section of the country may not work in another.

Those who know me understand that I welcome all opportunities to engage our members with open discussions about their honest opinions and where they feel NFDA should channel its resources. Coming from a small state with a strong funeral directors association, I have always acknowledged the importance and necessity of each state to have and maintain its own identity while valuing the importance of NFDA to be readily available to the needs of each state. It is with this mindset that I have been able to collaborate with various leaders to promote the greater good of our association.

I am proud to have served as your At-Large Representative, your Secretary, and your Treasurer. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the NFDA members as the association’s President-Elect.

Campaign Bio

I was raised in Naugatuck, Connecticut, the proud son of John W. Ford, CFSP, and the late Maureen E. (Hughes) Ford. Watching my father care for others greatly influenced my career path; I always knew that I wanted to be part of this great profession.

Married to Danielle (DeMarco) Ford since 2000, we are the proud parents of Ryan and Emma. As a family, we proudly show the communities we serve that we are trusted friends during difficult times.

Since being elected as your At-Large Representative in 2019, I have been fortunate enough to meet a large number of NFDA members from various regions of the country. I have always strived to listen to the concerns of our members to better our great association and our profession.

I have served the members of the NFDA as a Policy Board Member, an At-Large Representative, NFDA Secretary, and currently as the NFDA Treasurer, not to mention various committees and task forces. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to be part of NFDA’s future success as President-Elect. Thank you for your consideration and your trust.
